Satta King is a catch-all name for a family of illegal daily number-betting games in North India (Gali, Desawar, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and others) and for the websites that publish their results. Betting on them is illegal gambling in most of India.
Is Satta King legal in India?
No (as of 25 October 2026). Satta, including the Gali, Desawar, Faridabad and Ghaziabad games, is illegal gambling under state laws in Delhi, UP, Haryana, Rajasthan and most other states. "Leak" and "fix" numbers are a scam. No one can know a result before it is declared. Sellers take a "registration" or "booking" fee and then send a fake number, ask for more, or block you. If you paid, call 1930 at once.

How to read a Satta King record chart
A record chart is a table of past declared results: one row per date and one column per game (or per month on a yearly chart). It is a historical log only. It cannot predict any future result.

Results are usually declared at fixed times in IST: Gali around 11:55 PM, Desawar around 5:15 AM, Faridabad around 6:00 PM and Ghaziabad around 8:50 PM. The full table below covers every game we record.
Can a Satta King Chart Predict Results?
No. A chart lists past results; if results are random, each is independent of the ones before, so no chart or formula can predict the next. If they are rigged, only the riggers know, which is why "fix number" sellers are scammers.

History of Satta King and Matka
The documented story begins in Bombay. In the 1950s people bet on cotton rates relayed from New York. After that stopped around 1961, Kalyanji Bhagat and Ratan Khatri ran "matka" draws. The North Indian games now called Satta King have no documented founding history.
Gali and Desawar: What the Names Mean
"Gali" is the Hindi word for a lane or alley, and "Desawar" or "Disawar" means a foreign country or outside market in old trade usage. No reliable source explains who started either game or why they carry these names.
Where the Satta King Game Names Come From
Most game names are borrowed from places, from old trade words like Gali, Desawar and Bazar, or from deities. A name does not mean a game is run from that place, and no reliable source documents when most of them began.
Satta Matka vs Satta King: What Is the Difference?
Matka began in 1960s Bombay and records each result in three parts; Satta King covers North Indian games that record one two-digit number per game per day. Both are illegal gambling under Indian law.

They are words results websites add to their names, not separate games. Sites using them show the same declared games (Gali, Desawar, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and others), and no name makes a site official or faster at knowing a result.

Renting out your bank account: the mule account trap
Betting and fraud networks pay people a fee to "rent" their bank account, card or SIM, then use it to move other people's money. The government's cybercrime centre (I4C) warns people "not to sell/rent their bank accounts", because illicit funds in them "can lead to legal consequences, including arrest." The account is in your name, so the risk is yours.
BNS section 112: when betting becomes organised crime
Under section 112 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, unauthorised betting or gambling committed by a member of a group or gang is "petty organised crime", punishable with 1 to 7 years and a fine. It has applied since 1 July 2024. It does not cover every person who bets: the group or gang element is essential.
Fake satta apps and APKs: blocked withdrawals, malware and UPI risks
Satta apps and clone websites are a common route to losing money. Investigators have described apps that took deposits, stopped withdrawals "on one pretext or the other" and then wiped their data. Apps installed from outside the Play Store can also put your phone at risk. If you have paid one, call 1930 or report at cybercrime.gov.in.
Haryana Prevention of Public Gambling Act 2025, explained
In 2025 Haryana replaced the colonial Public Gambling Act of 1867 with its own law, the Haryana Prevention of Public Gambling Act, 2025. The new Act covers betting by electronic means, treats a computer network used for gambling as a gambling house, punishes gambling syndicates with 3 to 5 years, and has been in force by notification dated 21 May 2025.
How India blocks betting and satta sites: section 69A, with figures to March 2026
India blocks betting, gambling and satta websites and apps mainly under section 69A of the IT Act, and since 1 May 2026 also under section 14 of the Online Gaming Act. The latest official figure is 8,376 URLs blocked or actioned as of 28 March 2026. On 20 March 2026 the government said action had "also been taken against satta and matka gambling networks".

गली और दिसावर क्या हैं? नामों का अर्थ
